As one whose son was in the same little league
with Jimmy and who coached against
his teams I can concur. I heard comments
from various people denegrating Jimmy’s
ability in baseball. Jimmy worked hard and
never gave up. He deserves to be where
he is now. I am very happy for him and his
Dad who also never stopped believing he
could make it. I hope both of my Sons can
follow in his footsteps.

Hi Randy,
Thank you for sharing…hopefully Michael will follow his passion and once again ‘relax and have fun’ so that he can play at his best.
Anything you can do to help him figure this out is greatly appreciated. He is his own worst critic and beats himself up.

Mike,
Here is a great post from yesterday. It talks about different approaches (ingredients) in baseball that all lead to success. There is no one right way. THis would be a great read for Michael so he can relate to one of these players. What he would need to learn is that at the end of the day you need to “let it go”. There were many nights when I was 0-4 but i had to find a way to sleep that night. The very best way is to figure out what adjustment (if nay) you would make to get better results, maybe get some extra work in and then you “leave it at the field”.
Here is how you do it. Lets use an at bat as the example
1. Recall or replay each pitch in your mind. Write it down on a piece of paper is best
2. Re-Evaluate if there were a particular pitch in the at bat you would have approached differently. Write down the adjustment to get a better result
3. Let it go
