Bancroft, a Haddonfield-based human service provider of education, residential, vocational and rehabilitation services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and other neurological challenges, has named Greg Dobbs of the Philadelphia Phillies to its board of trustees.

Dobbs has been working with Bancroft since joining the Phillies in 2007 through such activities as skill drill for children. He chaired the dinner committee for the 2009 Butterfly Ball, a major fundraiser.
“We are delighted to welcome such an active advocate for those we serve and the community to our board,” said Toni Pergolin, Bancroft president.
Dobbs has experience teaching and motivating children on building good values. He participated in the Seattle Mariners’ Winter Caravan Tour, urging students to stay in school. Since 2004, he and his wife Heidi have supported The Moyer Foundation, which funds programs that serve the critical needs of children in severe distress.
“I am excited to join the efforts of such a great organization,” said Dobbs. “I look forward to being part of a team that already has made such a positive impact to so many lives.”
